Courtney has extensive experience supporting autistic individuals across home, school, and recreational settings. She began her career as a Behavioral Interventionist, applying evidence-based ABA strategies to help children and youth strengthen communication, social, and daily living skills. Her work is grounded in the belief that every individual deserves meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in inclusive environments where they feel a true sense of belonging.
Over the years, Courtney has taken on leadership roles supporting staff teams and collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary professionals. These experiences, paired with her master’s degree in Educational Psychology, have deepened her ability to bridge research, practice, and advocacy in ways that center the voices of children, youth, and families.
Her passion lies in combining ABA practices with advocacy for inclusion and family-centered care. She strives to create environments where children and youth with diverse needs can thrive, while empowering families to navigate services with confidence. Joining Pivot Point represents an exciting opportunity for Courtney to continue advancing inclusive practices and supporting meaningful community participation.
About Services in Victoria
Victoria has seen steady growth across Pivot Point’s services, with a strong and dedicated team supporting clients and families in the region.
One exciting development is the expansion of Neurofeedback Services, now available to all clients. This innovative, non-invasive therapy uses EEG technology to help individuals manage challenges such as anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD/ADD, sleep issues, ODD behaviors, trauma, and PTSD. Neurofeedback is especially valuable for adolescents and teens who may no longer benefit from ABA, as it allows clients to improve self-regulation by receiving real-time feedback on their brain activity.
Alongside this, our Mental Health Support continues to expand on Vancouver Island. A skilled group of Counsellors and Family Support Workers provides flexible support through in-person or online counselling, as well as one-to-one sessions with Family Support Workers. These services are designed to offer families practical tools, compassionate care, and meaningful progress in their daily lives.
ABA services in Victoria remain diverse, ranging from individual early intervention sessions to small group programs that focus on building social skills. In these groups, children and youth participate in games and structured activities with peers their age, guided by a Behavior Consultant using a social skills curriculum.
Looking ahead, Courtney and her team are eager to continue strengthening the Victoria Community Classroom. By cultivating inclusive and supportive learning spaces, they celebrate the progress of each learner while helping clients build confidence, achieve personal goals, and thrive in their communities.
