About Services in the Okanagan
Pivot Point is excited about the growth of our team in the Okanagan region, extending services from Armstrong and Lumby to Osoyoos and Princeton where we offer in-person, online, or hybrid support.
Pivot Point’s Adult Services in the Okanagan are active with Life Skills Workers supporting adults to utilize community services, develop skills to increase their independence and to get exercise and fresh air. Additionally, Shannon and her team deliver comprehensive clinical services to youth through programs like School Age ABA, Teen Transition PATH, and online groups such as PEERS, Minecraft, and Job Skills.
Pivot Point has recently partnered with CLBC to host the LIFE Service. L.I.F.E. stands for Learning, Inclusion, Friendship and Employment. CLBC staff, individuals, families, and service providers designed this service together.
Addressing the growing demand for support in the region, Shannon and the team are strategically planning additional services for families and caregivers.
Our Learning Centers are expanding throughout the province, and we’ve been hearing from families and stakeholders about the demand for a Community Classroom in Vernon which we’re tentatively planning to open in September 2024. This classroom will offer a safe, inclusive space for children to learn at their own pace, addressing emotional and behavioral needs on a daily basis by meeting each individual where they are.
