Prince George: HANG Building Social Skills

Unlocking Fun and Friendship for Teens with Diverse Abilities!

Our Helping Adolescents Network and Grow: HANG style groups are designed to be fun social environments where teen peers with Diverse Abilities get together to network with others who share common interests. Each session includes structured greeting activities, group activity planning, gentle in-the-moment coaching, and feedback on observed and emerging social skill dynamics.

Groups are themed around ages and interests for participants to make friends and practice their social skills. Each participant is working towards their own individualized social skill goals, but within a fun group environment that keeps moving and keeps conversations light and easy.

These Social Skills groups aim to celebrate individuality and foster an environment where participants can navigate their unique journey of social growth. Together, we strive to build lasting connections and a vibrant tapestry of shared experiences, enriching the lives of each participant.

This group will run every Thursday for 16 weeks starting March 7 to June 27, 2024, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
(There will be no session on March 28, due to long weekend)
